I filed I-485 in Nov. 2007 and waiting.... :(
Problem is I noticed that name of my father in my passport is reversed example it shows <lastName> then <FirstName>.
But in my birth certificate it is vice versa <FirstName> then <lastName>....
I got the RFE in July 2009 for my date of birth certificate which I have provided to USCIS mentioning father name as in my birth certificate i.e. <FirstName> then <lastName>.
I renewed my passport in April 2010 and corrected father name, but in all the old forms before RFE, my father name shows as <lastName> then <FirstName>.
Will it be issue, I am frustrated and worried on what to do, is it going to have major impact on my GC processing as all the forms I have submitted to USCIS and my passport have my father name as <lastName> then
<FirstName>.
Please suggest I am very worried...

In case of NOC codes you can only try to make sure you have same / similar duties , In case of parent labor you can see your Job code but not the new one. This is what i think , try to make justification on Job duties ...
my duties are very much similar and new employer is ready to give the AC21 letter as per my original labor job duties. would that be OK.

Admin/Moderators and other distinguish members,
Can we use this site for networking and socializing with people in similar situation and/or sharing similar vocations....
This would mainly include invitation for a public gathering and encourage others to come forward. Examples of nature of such public gathering:
1. Say people in finance sector meet and exchange thoughts
2. Religious in nature but will not be solicitation.
3. General meeting etc...
What do people in this forum think?

Paper based filing on July 2nd 2008 (NSC)
Got filing receipt on July 19th 2008
Today I got the CRIS appproval email for my EAD application. However, the EAD application for my spouse still shows pending. We both filed together (paper filing). Is this normal, has someone seen this type of situation before? Do I need to contact USCIS to remind them about the other EAD application?
Just to let you know guys ... I got a CRIS email 10 minutes back ... informing that my wife's EAD is also approved. This is a good news because our priority date will be current from tomorrow. However, I don't know we will get the EAD for one year or two year. I guess we will just wait for the cards arrival. Thanks to all the people who responded to my question.

Not really .... My brother worked in India for 3 years and worked here in US for 5 years before moving back to India and he is earning good too.
Salary for any job depends on lot of factors. How one negotiates is a key factor.

Look great to me. Slowing the shutter speed and panning will give you illusion of motion but it is hit or miss be prepaired for a lot of misses.

Well, his job responsibilities are now more than before. I am not sure if this new position requires a masters degree.
It is the same employer but just a different job. The lawyer we have is always scared. We tried to do EB 2 about 2 years ago, she filed everything but retrieved the whole process when she felt we may have an RFE.

I don't think you need to withdraw your H1B visa application.
lostinGCland: My wife (on H4) is in the same boat as you. Do you have AP in hand yet, and did they return your passport to you? If yes on both, then my attorney recommended to send a letter to the consulate instructing them to withdraw your H1B stamping application, then with a copy of that letter in hand, along with the AP, reenter the US on AP. Good luck!

I think they have started Receipting Delays at NSC. By the way, did you have any RFE on your I-485 in Aug/Sept. 08.
I applied for the renewal of my expired AP on Oct 12 which was received on Oct 14th.But neither the checks are cashes nor any reciept notice received.
Is there anybody else in the same boat,Btw, the service center is NSC.

Speeding is a misdemeanor in some states and can cause a false alarm. Just recollect to see if you can recollect anything where you ran into the law even something minor??

One of my good friend asked me this questions yesterday? I did not have an answer for him and wanted to ask if someone could have any suggestions on this.

His company wants to start his EB2 green card process. He was wondering if this a good time to do this? Is it recommended that he delay this process for 6 months or so? He is currently in his 3rd year of H1B.

If you file for MTR with in 30 days you should be fine till the case is adjucated.
As long as MTR is filed u r not out of status.

Did the e-file process ask you to pay the biometric fee? I ask because my attorney informed me this afternoon that I do not need to pay a biometric fee, or send in a G-325A form, when sending in my EAD/AP renewal. Do please let me know if this is not the case.
On the Advance Parole justification, I would put in a note stating that I maintain close ties with my family in <country here> and travel frequently to see them. Additionally, state that you wish to travel abroad on vacation on multiple occasions through the year, and request them to grant you an Advance Parole for these reasons. This document request seems to be in lieu of the covering letter that's usually sent with an AP request. I'm sure they don't need you to send them ticket receipts.

I dont think it asked me for the $80 biometric fee during the E-filing process. Someone else had answered to my quesiton on a different thread as well that I dont have to pay it.
I will make sure I put in the reasons you suggested for the AP in my documentation. Thanks again.
Another questions is that since I files EAD and AP concurrently, can I send both the documents in the same packet? ( I am guessing it's ok since the attorneys usually send everything in a single packet , right? )

an infopass. The CIS official has a lot of information as to what is happening with the file. They can tell if someone is working on the file.
If infopass does not work, go via senator and ombudsman.
